WSP, a leading global engineering professional services consultancy, seeks a Principal Traffic & Parking Engineer to lead parking strategy, design and operations from our UK Liveable Places team. The role involves shaping streets and town centres through innovative kerbside solutions and traffic management, with a hybrid mix of Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester or Newcastle offices.

You will build client relationships, manage budgets and resources, and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver

Qualifikationen

• Experience delivering parking and traffic management projects in a consultancy, local authority, or related environment.
• Strong knowledge of parking policy, TROs and traffic & parking design standards.
• Experience working with local authority clients and stakeholders.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Experience managing projects and client relationships.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery.

Aufgaben

• Leading and delivering parking strategy, design and operational projects.
• Developing CPZs, parking strategies, reviews and parking management schemes.
• Collaborating with the TROs team.
• Advising clients on parking policy, enforcement and kerbside management.
• Managing budgets, programmes and resources.
• Collaborating with transport planning, active travel, highways, road safety, placemaking and urban design teams.
• Supporting public consultations, stakeholder engagement and committee reports.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Identifying opportunities for new work and supporting business development.
• Support on bids and framework opportunities.
