Job summary

Intact Insurance is seeking an experienced commercial underwriting professional to deliver high-quality Property & Casualty outcomes through broker relationships, while coaching underwriters to build capability and drive team performance.

You’ll underwrite and negotiate new and existing business, apply pricing strategies and collaborate with colleagues to improve underwriting practices, with hybrid working and career development opportunities.

Job description

This role is within the Commercial Lines Regions business and reports to a Commercial Manager. The role is accountable for delivering high‑quality underwriting outcomes through broker relationships, while coaching and supporting underwriters to build capability and drive consistent team performance.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Property & Casualty business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed

Your skills and experience:
