Job summary

Arup is seeking a Principal/Senior Town Planner for its Northern England offices. The role involves leading planning policy, evidence base, research and strategy commissions, and advising clients on policy and delivery. You will own projects, manage client relationships, and help develop the town planning business.

You will translate complex evidence into clear policy, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to meaningful projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or masters in town planning or similar equivalent degree (e.g. geography).
• Chartered membership of RTPI or equivalent professional body.
• Project management skills, including programme and commercial aspects.
• Good knowledge of planning legislation and planning policy.
• Comfortable leading client meetings and contributing to business development.

Responsibilities
