Job summary

Dambuster Studios is seeking a Senior Tools Programmer to join the Infrastructure team in a role that blends engineering with content creation. You will build and evolve the tools, pipelines, and workflows enabling artists, designers and developers to produce game-ready content.

As a senior member you will shape tool strategy, mentor juniors, and raise engineering standards while ensuring solutions remain robust and user-friendly. On-site or hybrid work is available from our Nottingham Studio.

Qualifications

• Significant software development experience in games or related fields.
• Understanding of asset path from content creation to final game.
• Clear written and verbal communication to explain solutions.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and Perforce.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a pursuit of excellence.
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend tools systems focused on digital content creation packages.
• Resolve day-to-day problems encountered by content creators to improve workflows.
• Communicate with content teams to identify and solve issues promptly.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
• Collaborate with team and users to ensure tools are effective and complete.
• Write clear, maintainable, decoupled code and maintain tool docs.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and technologies.
