Job summary

Aaron Wallis Sales Recruitment seeks a Senior Technical Sales Engineer for tooling and moulding solutions in the South of England. The role focuses on inbound enquiries, high-value tenders, and bridging R&D with production in a consultative capacity.

Ideal candidates combine engineering depth in tooling or polymers with commercial acumen, to mentor in a field/hybrid setup and drive project wins while supporting automotive, aerospace, and marine clients.

Qualifications

• Proven technical expertise in precision tooling or mould manufacture.
• Experience in polymer/elastomer processing (injection moulding, rubber/compression moulding, or TPE).
• Ability to interrogate CAD drawings and discuss DFM principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication with aptitude for project estimation and client relationships.
• Methodical, self-directed, capable of managing tender deadlines and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret incoming engineering specifications, CAD models, and drawings with client R&D engineers.
• Assess project feasibility, material selection, and tooling options.
• Lead technical bid submissions, cost estimations, and tender responses.
• Manage established key accounts, ensuring technical continuity and follow-on work.
• Collaborate with production and tooling design teams to move from quote to prototype and production.
