Job summary

Circle Health Group's Lincoln Private Hospital seeks a Senior Theatre Practitioner to join the theatre team. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week in a busy private hospital network across the country.

The post requires an experienced perioperative professional who can lead theatres, scrub for a wide range of orthopaedic procedures and mentor junior staff, with a commitment to patient safety and high standards of clinical governance.

Qualifications

• Registered professional in perioperative theatre settings.
• Experience scrubbing orthopaedic procedures.
• Proven leadership, communication and decision‑making skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior scrub for orthopaedic procedures (joint replacements, arthroscopies, trauma, spinal).
• Coordinate theatres, lists, and ensure equipment, staff and resources are available.
• Champion WHO Surgical Safety Checklists and infection prevention practices.
• Mentor newly qualified practitioners and students to develop orthopaedic scrub skills.
• Collaborate with consultants, anaesthetists and ward teams to ensure continuity of care.
