Job summary

Copello is seeking a Senior Product Test Development Engineer to lead design, verification and validation of test equipment for defence solutions. You will collaborate with hardware and software engineers, drive through-life support, and ensure robust hardware and test software.

On-site in Glenrothes/Livingston with a 12-month Inside IR35 contract, you’ll guide junior engineers and lead complex test challenges.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering (2.1 or higher).
• Experience in test software design and hardware test development.
• Strong analogue and digital circuit design knowledge.
• Ability to produce comprehensive technical design documents.
• Proven handover and production engineering experience.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design functional test equipment and verify its performance.
• Lead and guide junior engineers on test projects.
• Document design specs and participate in design reviews.
• Develop test hardware, software and procedures for validation.
• Support manufacturing with technical queries and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company policies.
