Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead testing across secure, cloud-hosted platforms for the ESN project. You will drive test planning, execution, and governance in a hybrid working model with on-site and remote collaboration across UK teams.

You will mentor junior staff and ensure coverage of functional, integration, system, and non-functional testing while coordinating with customers and partners in a fast-paced agile environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering functional, integration, system, acceptance and non-functional testing activities within complex software or systems integration programmes.
• Strong technical testing capability with leadership across multiple workstreams.
• Experience in customer-facing environments with multi-supplier coordination.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering teams, customers and partners.
• Ability to balance hands-on testing with leadership responsibilities and governance activities.
• Comfort working with customers and partners to solve complex integration challenges in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of test work packages, including scope, effort estimates, and schedules.
• Represent the test function within a complex multi-supplier delivery environment, building relationships with customers, partners and engineering teams.
• Plan, coordinate and execute multi-party test activities involving Home Office, customer representatives and third-party suppliers.
• Support interoperability and interface testing across complex distributed systems.
• Contribute to non-functional testing activities including security, performance, reliability, stability and usability testing.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to support cloud-based deliveries and service transition.
