Leonardo UK is recruiting a Principal DevOps Engineer to lead automation and platform engineering for secure defence and government programmes. Based at Bristol with work at Yeovil and other secure sites, the role focuses on building, deploying and operating automated platform solutions with DevSecOps integration.

The role demands leadership, hands‑on engineering, and the ability to navigate highly regulated environments, while mentoring juniors and collaborating with security and delivery teams.

Formación

• Extensive DevOps expertise across automation and platform engineering.
• Ability to balance hands-on engineering with technical leadership and mentorship.
• Experience operating in secure, regulated environments (defence/government).

Responsabilidades

• Act as the technical authority for automation and platform engineering practices across projects and programmes.
• Lead design, implementation and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Develop secure deployment pipelines for highly controlled environments.
