Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Cyber & Security Solutions Division, based at Yeovil or Bristol. You will lead system and integration testing across multiple domains, contributing to non-functional testing and securing customer outcomes.

The role requires on-site attendance with potential hybrid flexibility for appropriate activities. You will work in an agile, team-centric environment, focusing on robust, secure testing practices and continuous improvement of test processes.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in testing across software, system or infrastructure environments.
• Good problem-solving skills to investigate routine issues.
• Understanding of system, integration and non-functional testing.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support system-level and integration testing across multiple domains (platform, network, application).
• Contribute to non-functional testing including performance, resilience, security, and scalability validation.
• Execute test cases and procedures, ensuring results are captured accurately and issues raised promptly.
• Prepare test plans, scripts, and supporting documentation.
• Set up and configure test environments to support system, integration and acceptance testing.
• Investigate and troubleshoot routine test issues, escalating complex defects when needed.
• Support defect tracking and resolution across development and test teams.
• Ensure testing aligns with standards, governance and secure practices.
• Suggest improvements in test processes and practices.
