Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer for our Glenrothes and Livingston sites. You will design, manufacture, verify and validate test equipment for board-level, sub-system and system-level hardware, including Control Actuation Systems and GPS anti-jamming tech.

You will mentor junior engineers, engage with customers, and contribute to through-life support while ensuring robust test architectures and lifecycle management. A Welcome Bonus applies.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing test equipment for boards, subsystems and systems.
• Ability to document technical designs comprehensively.
• Experience handing over designs to production.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and system integration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design functional test equipment for circuit cards, subsystems and systems.
• Provide leadership and guidance for junior engineers and assist with resource planning.
• Document design specifications and participate in design reviews.
• Develop test hardware, software, and procedures to validate operation.
