Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Principal Test Development Engineer for our Glenrothes and Livingston sites. You will design, verify and support test equipment for board level to system level, including collaboration with hardware and software teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in test software design and verification.
• Strong knowledge of analogue and digital electronics design.
• Ability to write comprehensive technical design documentation.
• Proven handover and production release experience.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting and system integration skills.
• Eligible for BPSS clearance (SC level preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design functional test equipment for circuit cards, sub-assemblies and systems.
• Lead design reviews and ensure adherence to design standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and support resource planning.
• Document design specifications and implementation details.
• Develop test hardware, software, and procedures to prove operation.
• Provide lifecycle support and manage obsolescence for tests.
