Job summary

Randburg Tennis Club & Academy in Randburg, Gauteng, is seeking an experienced Senior Tennis Professional & Academy Coach. The role involves delivering high-level coaching to juniors, competitive players, and adult members, developing training programs, and leading the academy's growth.

The candidate should have at least 6 years of coaching experience, a professional coaching certification (PTR/USPTA), and a proven record in developing junior players.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of coaching experience in tennis, with a significant focus on junior development.
• Professional tennis coaching certification (PTR/USPTA or equivalent) is mandatory.
• Proven track record of developing successful junior competitive players.
• In-depth knowledge of tennis technique, strategy, biomechanics, and conditioning.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert tennis coaching to players of all ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, strategy, and fitness.
• Develop and implement structured training programs for the junior academy.
• Conduct individual lessons, group clinics, and squad training sessions.
• Organize and oversee competitive tournaments and match play opportunities for academy players.
• Assess player performance and provide constructive feedback to facilitate improvement.
• Promote a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages dedication and sportsmanship.
• Collaborate with club management and other coaches to enhance the overall tennis program.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tennis trends, rules, and coaching best practices.
