Job summary

Colchester Borough Council is seeking a Senior Technology Support & Solutions Specialist to administer, support and develop our Core Housing System and other business systems.

You will ensure systems are secure, reliable and compliant, act as escalation point in the Housing Systems Helpdesk for complex issues, and work with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver enhancements, upgrades, integrations and digital projects.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring and supporting business-scale systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with data, reporting and system integrations; understanding of security standards.

Responsibilities

• Administering, supporting and continuously improving key business systems, including the Core Housing System.
• Ensuring systems remain secure, reliable and compliant.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience configuring and supporting business scale systems
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve technical issues effectively.
• Experience working with data, reporting and system integrations.
• Strong understanding of system security, governance standards and data security
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Experience of housing systems, digital projects or project delivery would be advantageous.
