Job summary

Bain & Company, Inc. London Technology Insights Group seeks an Expert Senior Technologist to guide technology due diligence and value creation for private equity and corporate clients.

The role blends hands-on software leadership with strategic advisory in a fast-moving environment. You will translate complex tech findings into business implications, shape executive conclusions, and mentor the TIG team while collaborating across offices and regions.

Qualifications

• Extensive leadership experience in technology consulting or product teams.
• Hands-on AI-enabled software development lifecycles and GenAI in products or processes.
• Strong software architecture, stacks, cloud/mobile computing, and cybersecurity knowledge.
• Experience evaluating R&D orgs and software development practices.
• Understanding of major software business apps (ERP/CRM/Data warehousing).
• Proven track record leading strategic technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical answer and shape executive-level conclusions with case leadership.
• Evaluate product capabilities, technical debt, architectures, and risks (cybersecurity).
• Translate technical findings into business implications and investments.
• Serve as a senior technical voice in client discussions and deep dives.
• Lead deep dives on critical tech topics with Bain's expert network.
• Help win new work by shaping proposals and client pitches.
• Apply investment theses to due diligence and translate results into insights.
• Support TIG IP development and identify new value creation opportunities.
• Share expertise with colleagues and mentor junior TIG members.
