Job summary

Astec Industries Europe Limited in Omagh, Northern Ireland, seeks a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our skilled team. You will provide product support to dealers and customers worldwide, troubleshoot issues remotely, and collaborate with internal functions to resolve complex technical problems.

Travel to customer sites, onboarding and mentoring of junior personnel, and adherence to health and safety policies are integral.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years’ experience with mobile plant (quarry, mining, agriculture, forestry machinery).
• Proactive and courageous approach to safety.
• Strong customer focus and service mindset.
• Solid mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide product support to dealers and customers worldwide.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues remotely.
• Utilize Case Management System to integrate support functions.
• Collaborate with internal departments to document and resolve technical issues.
• Engage with the NPI team to enhance product reliability.
• Support Quality Improvement Team (QIT) initiatives to identify root causes and resolve manufacturing, assembly, and design issues.
• Develop technical solutions and procedures for customers and dealers.
• Adhere to Health and Safety policies and regulations at all times.
• Occasionally travel to customer sites to deliver technical solutions.
• Provide training and mentoring of junior personnel and placement engineers
