Qualifications

• Knowledge of FCA requirements (Consumer Duty).
• Significant experience in general insurance pricing, preferably within motor insurance.
• Strong experience building, maintaining or implementing technical pricing models and burn cost models.
• Experience leading pricing projects with governance and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience supervising analysts, coaching and workload prioritisation.
• Experience working with large datasets and applying statistical methods to pricing questions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a team of technical pricing analysts, setting priorities and monitoring delivery.
• Lead technical pricing projects, including burn cost models, loss ratio analysis and model enhancements.
• Provide technical reviews of analyses and ensure documentation and governance are robust.
• Oversee monitoring, maintenance and improvement of predictive models.
• Translate complex analyses into clear commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Shape and deliver the technical pricing roadmap in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, claims, finance and data teams to reflect insights in decisions.
• Support data enrichment, rating structure and modelling improvements with governance and controls.
