Job summary

SMG, a leader in connected commerce marketing, seeks a Senior Technical Lead to guide a product-focused engineering squad. You will own architectural decisions across platforms, drive resilient cloud deployments, and mentor engineers, aligning with security and reliability standards.

You will partner with product teams to translate goals into engineering work, contribute code, and lead reviews. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on delivery excellence and cross-team

Qualifications

• Extensive software engineering experience with leadership in product engineering squads.
• Hands-on delivery: design, review and deliver frontend UIs, backend services, APIs.
• Experience translating product goals into engineering work with clear criteria.
• Experience mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Refine requirements with Product team and prepare specs.
• Create architecture/design specifications and templates.
• Contribute to platform re-architecture for future growth.
• Code, debug, and unblock technical challenges; enable autonomy.
• Lead code reviews and promote high-quality patterns.
• Conduct time-boxed architectural reviews to improve designs.
• Define CI/CD, IaC, deployment patterns, observability and runbooks.
• Ensure production readiness with QA, SRE collaboration.
• Embed security considerations in design and delivery.
