Job summary

Source Group International Ltd is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Lead to guide our platform capability and empower engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable software. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends people management with technical direction.

You will manage a team of three Platform Engineers while acting as the technical lead for a wider group of five, setting standards, driving platform excellence, and shaping cloud architecture with a strong focus

Qualifications

Proven hands-on experience in platform engineering, SRE/DevOps or cloud infrastructure.
Experience leading engineering teams with people management and technical leadership.
Strong Kubernetes and container platform expertise.
Deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with Azure/AWS familiarity.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Ansible.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD and GitOps tooling (Jenkins, ArgoCD).
Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, networking, and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
Excellent communication across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a team of three Platform Engineers.
Provide technical leadership for a wider team of five engineers, defining standards and best practices.
Design and evolve a secure, scalable cloud platform with a focus on developer experience.
Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps and observability.
Work closely with engineering teams to improve platform adoption, reliability and software delivery.
Balance strategic planning with hands-on technical leadership where required.
