An established industry player is seeking a Senior Technical Engineer Mechanical to enhance their Estates team. This role is pivotal in managing a diverse range of engineering projects, ensuring the safety and functionality of campus assets. We are looking for a Masters degree qualified Chartered Mechanical Engineer to join our Estates team to help develop our expanding campus. Estates Services manages an exciting and diverse range of capital and revenue developments, with a current programme of around £50m. Your role will be key to defining and implementing changes to improve the safety, reliability and functionality of our properties and other assets, ensuring safety is maintained at all times whilst providing effective and value-added systems of work. The role will deliver a large and varied range of works across the capital and revenue portfolio.
This role is based in the Directorate of Technology, Estates & Facilities (DTEF) provides services and facilities to staff, students and visitors. Our department provides services and facilities to staff, students and visitors. Within the DTEF, the Estates Development Team is responsible for the ownership and development of the campus, as well as supporting the wider DTEF team.
The Senior Technical Engineer Mechanical role provides strategic vision and technical expertise across the specified discipline. Role provides an advisory service to in-house staff and departments in normal, abnormal and emergency situations. With up to date knowledge the role will advise and deliver on best practice in maintaining and improving the University’s assets, ensuring safety is maintained at all times whilst providing effective and value-added systems of work. The role will deliver a large and varied range of works across the capital and revenue portfolio.
