Job summary

Outwood Academy Hindley in the UK is seeking an Advanced Teaching Assistant to deliver planned interventions and learning activities to individuals and small groups, in person and online. You will track progress on school ICT systems and support statutory development plans, including EHCPs, for SEND, EAL and gifted students.

The role includes short-term cover, resource management and exam invigilation. Ideal candidates will hold a Level 3 qualification in working with children and young people

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification relating to working with children and young people.
• Experience supporting students in small group or one-to-one settings.
• Ability to work flexibly to meet school needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned interventions and learning activities to individuals and small groups, in person and online, adjusting to student responses.
• Assess, monitor and record student development and attainment on ICT systems, tracking the impact of interventions.
• Support the implementation of statutory individual development plans, such as EHCPs.
• Support students with SEND, EAL and gifted and talented needs.
• Provide short-term cover for learning environments.
• Manage resources.
• Invigilate exams.
