Outwood Academy Freeston, part of Outwood Grange Academies Trust, is seeking an Advanced Teaching Assistant for term-time work. The role focuses on delivering planned interventions to small groups or individuals, tracking progress, and supporting students with SEN and EAL needs.

The post also covers short-term cover and duties around development plans such as EHCPs. Candidates should have a Level 3 qualification, be adaptable, and demonstrate good ICT literacy with systems like SIMS and Praising

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification relating to working with children and young people.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned learning activities and intervention programmes to small groups or individuals, adjusting delivery to student responses.
• Assess, monitor and record student development and attainment using ICT systems, including tracking the impact of interventions.
• Support students with special educational needs and those for whom English is not their first language.
• Provide short-term cover for learning environments.
• Support the implementation of individual development plans, such as EHCPs.
• Manage resources.
• Invigilate exams.
