Job summary

Outwood Academy Haydock in Haydock, St Helens seeks an Advanced Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted interventions and high-quality learning activities for individuals and small groups, both in person and online. You will monitor progress, develop statutory plans, and support diverse student needs, including SEND, EAL, and gifted/talented students.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification related to working with children and young people, plus experience in school settings and ICT

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification relating to working with children and young people.
• Experience supporting students in small groups or one-to-one.
• Proficiency with educational ICT packages and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned learning activities and intervention programmes for individuals or small groups.
• Monitor progress and record attainment using ICT systems.
• Support students with SEND and EAL; provide short-term cover when needed.
