Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to shape Through-Life Services for the UK’s next-generation combat aircraft. You will influence early design decisions, develop support concepts, and deliver high-value solutions for front-line operations.

In this role you will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, apply MBSE approaches, and ensure traceability across the engineering lifecycle. Flexible hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

• Experience capturing and analysing stakeholder needs to guide service solutions for future operations.
• Experience applying MBSE to develop service and product architectures.
• Experience generating Use Cases and conducting Functional Analysis.
• Experience managing requirements and maintaining traceability.
• Understanding lifecycle and impact of early technical decisions.
• Ability to balance competing needs using trade studies.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage stakeholders for TLS elements and support engagement strategy.
• Elicit, analyse and mature stakeholder needs to define optimal capability solutions.
• Contribute to concepts and architectures for the TLS solution with SMEs.
• Conduct system functional analysis, modelling and architecture refinement.
• Ensure use of appropriate tools and techniques for problem definition.
• Define and establish Use Cases to inform Functional Analysis and architecture.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders for TLS alignment with programme elements.
• Identify and elevate emerging issues, contribute to risk assessment and mitigation.
• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for customers/industry partners.
• Promote best practice across the organisation and beyond.
