Job summary

Leonardo in Bristol is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team, developing systems for current and future military aircraft. The role is office- and laboratory-based, with collaboration across UK suppliers and users to deliver high-performance capabilities.

You bring a science-based honours degree, an interest in electronic warfare, and a solid grasp of the systems engineering lifecycle, including DOORS, architecture, integration, testing, verification and validation.

Qualifications

• A science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience or a desire to gain electronic warfare domain knowledge.
• Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle: problem definition, requirements engineering (IBM DOORS), systems architecture, integration, test & evaluation, verification & validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop integration and test plans.
• Control of parts and documentation, including change management.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams on system and sub-system development.
• Work with suppliers, integrators, and users across the UK.
• Mentor and coach other engineers; lead technical activities where required.
• Create and deliver reports, presentations and proposals to customers and industry partners.
