Job summary

Edwards Vacuum is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer - NPI to drive the Systems engineering lifecycle for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will translate product vision into clear Requirements and develop MBSE architectures to capture functional and behavioural aspects.

You will lead Integration, Verification and Validation activities across projects, ensuring designs meet standards through tests and simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering is essential.
• Registered Incorporated Engineer or working towards registration is desirable.
• More than 3 years’ experience in Systems Engineering or Integration, Verification and Validation (essential).
• Knowledge of INCOSE Manual v5 / ISO15288 is desirable.
• Understanding of working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry such as semiconductor manufacturing equipment is desirable (EN 61511; SEMI S2; S10).
• Practical understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes and equipment is desirable.
• Good integrity with a results-driven mindset (essential).
• Knowledge of best-practice verification and test and engineering (essential).
• Able to report concisely to engineers, project manager, and wider project team (essential).
• Adaptable to changing requirements and priorities with a rational, analytical approach (essential).

Responsibilities

• Work at the core of our engineering and product development teams using Systems Engineering tools to bring clarity from ambiguity.
• Translate product vision into clear Requirements using Use Cases, Context Diagrams, Architectures and more.
• Use MBSE methods to develop Functional, Logical, and Behavioural architectures to understand system operations.
• Lead Integration, Verification and Validation activities across projects toward milestones through to completion.
• Support the development of robust IV&V plans for products, modules and sub-assemblies.
• Verify and test that designs meet requirements and conform to relevant standards by calculation, simulation or physical testing as appropriate.
• Ensure efforts contribute to quality and cost targets and are completed within the agreed task time scale.
• Document verification and testing with traceability in a timely manner.
