Job summary

Empresaria UK Ltd is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a product development team, applying MBSE and SE best practices to address complex engineering challenges in regulated environments.

You will capture customer needs, refine them into structured requirements and architectures, and develop MBSE-based models to support verification and validation across milestones.

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline with 3+ years' experience in IV&V
• Experience applying MBSE, INCOSE principles, and ISO 15288 processes
• Experience in regulated or safety-critical industries with compliance, risk assessment and verification activities
• Understanding of safety and design review methodologies such as FMEA, HAZOP, PHA and LOPA
• Strong technical communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Professional registration (or working towards Incorporated Engineer status) is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key member of the product development team, applying Systems Engineering best practice to complex engineering challenges.
• Capture and refine customer and product needs into structured system requirements and architectures.
• Develop and maintain Functional, Logical and Behavioural models using MBSE approaches.
• Drive Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities to ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
• Plan and coordinate verification strategies for new products, modules and sub-assemblies.
• Demonstrate compliance with requirements and industry standards through analysis, simulation and physical testing.
• Produce clear technical documentation, ensuring full traceability from requirements through to verification and validation.

Experience Required:

• Degree qualified in Systems Engineering or a related discipline, with 3+ years' experience in Systems Engineering, Integration, Verification & Validation (IV&V), or a similar engineering environment.
• Familiarity with Systems Engineering best practice, including MBSE, INCOSE principles and ISO 15288 processes.
• Experience working within regulated or safety-critical industries, with exposure to compliance, risk assessment and verification activities.
• Understanding of safety and design review methodologies such as FMEA, HAZOP, PHA and LOPA.
• Semiconductor equipment or advanced manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
• Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to manage complex requirements and engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Analytical, organised and delivery-focused, with a proactive approach to problem solving and accountability.
• Professional registration (or working towards Incorporated Engineer status) is beneficial
