Job summary
Edwards in Eastbourne, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop and support software for controllers, instrumentation, and interfaces within Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique Division. You will participate in all lifecycle stages, reporting to the NPI Manager.
You will mentor colleagues, drive process improvements, and ensure quality through testing and documentation while collaborating with global teams across product companies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
- Experience delivering production‑ready electronic systems in electronics manufacturing.
- Experience with embedded software development and typical target processors.
- Some experience with SCRUM/Agile project management.
- Experience in regulated, compliance‑driven environments.
Responsibilities
- Maintain awareness of product roadmaps and priorities within Vacuum Technique Division.
- Develop innovative software solutions and design scalable software for reuse.
- Participate in SCRUM-based projects and provide technical support in specialist areas.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to developers in specific technology areas.
- Release production‑ready code with design and test documentation.
