Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the development of NIGHTSHADE, integrating mechanical, electrical, electronic and software elements. You will coordinate with design, manufacturing and support teams to ensure compliant, secure and capable infrastructure for defence customers.

This role is primarily based at the Yeovil facility with flexible, hybrid working options. You will influence technical direction, manage requirements and verification activities across the lifecycle,

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience applying systems engineering across the lifecycle.
• Experience defining system architectures and interfaces for complex products.
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture, requirements and design for NIGHTSHADE.
• Capture and manage customer, operational, legislative and technical requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities across disciplines.
• Define verification, validation and acceptance strategies.
• Produce high-quality engineering documentation and reviews.
