Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Civil/Structural Engineer to join the Nuclear, Defence, and Civil division. You will lead projects across defence, nuclear, energy, and infrastructure, coordinating with UK and European teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

You will mentor junior staff, manage schedules and costs, and maintain strong client relationships in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should hold Chartered Engineer status and have experience in regulated sectors;

• Chartered Engineer with experience in energy and regulated sectors.
• Strong track record delivering engineering solutions to high standards.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to civil/structural projects across defence, nuclear, energy and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external clients to develop cost-effective solutions.
• Oversee civil design and checks, and prepare technical documentation and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and produce detailed reports for asset maintenance and life extension.
• Mentor junior staff and support project management with schedules and costs.
