Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer on the Cloudflare Tunnel team. You will drive the technical vision and architect for future scale, ensuring our product securely connects machines to the Cloudflare network.

You will guide capacity planning and develop next-generation features for Cloudflare Tunnel, Mesh and Zero Trust Network, collaborating with security, network engineering, SRE, and product management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development in distributed systems.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Rust, C++, or similar.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with microservices and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of complex systems for Cloudflare Tunnel and related edge services.
• Design cross-functional scalable solutions collaborating with security, network engineering, SRE, and product mgmt.
• Mentor and review code to maintain high quality and engineering standards.
• Drive long-term technical roadmap and improvements for resilience and performance.
