Job summary

Leonardo in the UK is seeking a Systems Engineer to advance cutting-edge defence technology. The role focuses on developing requirements, managing changes, and collaborating across multi-functional teams for Tempest and GCAP programs, with emphasis on MBSE and rigorous verification.

The position involves office and laboratory work in the UK, with security controls and BPSS screening. A science-based Honours degree and interest in electronic warfare are desirable.

Qualifications

• A science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience or a desire to gain electronic warfare domain knowledge.
• Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle, particularly in the following areas: Problem definition.
• Requirements engineering, including the use of IBM DOORS.
• Systems Architecture.
• Synthetic Environments.
• Systems Modelling and Analysis.
• Integration.
• Verification and Validation.
• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Responsibilities

• Development of Requirements and Test Plans.
• Control of Parts and Documentation, including change management.
• Collaboration with multi-functional teams on system and sub-system development for Tempest and the GCAP.
• Work with suppliers, integrators, and users across the UK.
• Multi-disciplinary teamwork to bridge practical implementation and theoretical design.
