Job summary

Triumph Group, Inc. is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to define, develop, integrate and certify advanced hydro and electro-mechanical actuation and control systems across the full lifecycle.

You will guide suppliers, drive technical direction, and ensure system integrity on a long-term development program. The Senior role requires leadership across mechanical, software and electronics, with experience in DO-178/DO-254 and high-integrity environments.

Qualifications

• Degree required in aerospace, mechanical, electrical/mechatronics or systems engineering.
• Experience with DO-178 and DO-254 is essential.
• Experience leading supplier technical activities and interface control.
• Strong understanding of system engineering, architecture definition, integration and V&V.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and interface specifications.
• Proven track record of independent leadership on complex engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead system-level requirements definition, traceability, and validation.
• Define system boundaries, concepts, and architectural frameworks for actuation and control systems.
• Own system architectures, functional models, and interface definitions across mechanical, software, and electronics.
• Provide oversight for actuation system design, including motors, sensors, and control electronics.
• Lead supplier technical reviews and ensure design outputs meet safety and certification requirements.
• Own the system integration strategy and resolve complex interaction issues.
• Oversee V&V strategies and certification alignment with aerospace/military standards.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes and tools.
