Job summary

Gateley Hamer, part of Gateley Built Environment, is hiring a Senior Surveyor to lead on landowner consultations and development consent orders for nationally significant infrastructure projects. You will advise clients on CPOs, negotiate settlements and work with multiple disciplines across the project life cycle.

We seek MRICS professionals with a BSc Hons, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach.

Qualifications

• BSc Hons and MRICS qualification are essential.
• Experience negotiating and advising clients on complex land matters.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Proactive, disciplined approach with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead landowner consultations for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
• Draft lands-related documents for DCOs and advise on promotion and implementation of CPO powers.
• Engage and negotiate with landowners; collaborate with other disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
• Draft valuations, prepare compensation claims and negotiate settlements.
• Assist landowners affected by CPOs, including objections and petitions; prepare reports as needed.
• Oversee promotion, submission and delivery of DCOs and CPOs; work with acquiring authorities.
• Build relationships with clients; seek to extend instructions and pursue new opportunities.
• Prepare reports and advice notes per QA procedures; support graduate development; lead on Property Costs Estimates.
