Job summary

Gateley Hamer is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join the Infrastructure team in Leeds. You will lead landowner consultations, draft lands documents for Development Consent Orders and Compulsory Purchase Orders, and advise clients on compensation and negotiations.

The role involves working with acquiring authorities and other disciplines across major projects, with a focus on building client relationships and expanding instructions.

Responsibilities

• Lead on landowner consultations and advise on Development Consent Orders for NSIPs.
• Draft and oversee Lands documents for DCOs and CPOs.
• Draft valuations, prepare compensation claims and negotiate settlements.
• Advise landowners affected by compulsory purchase and assist with objections and petitions.
• Promote and implement compulsory purchase powers alongside acquiring authorities.
• Collaborate with other disciplines across full project life-cycle.
• Build client relationships and generate new instructions and opportunities.
• Prepare reports and advice notes per QA procedures.
• Assist in graduate development and lead on Property Costs Estimates.
