Cambian Group Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to help care for children aged 8–18 in a West Midlands home. You’ll support daily routines, get them ready for school, prepare meals, and plan engaging activities, creating a warm, homely environment that fosters safety and growth.

You’ll lead shifts, deputise the home manager, maintain required records, and provide emotional support while building meaningful relationships with the young people.

Qualifications

• Driver with full UK driving licence and at least NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare.
• Two years of working experience in a residential setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines: getting ready for school, meal prep, planning activities.
• Create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping.
• Lead shifts and deputise the home manager.
• Build strong relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and join activities like trips, movie nights, and creative projects.
• Keep essential records for high-quality care.
