Job summary

Cambian Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker for a 2-bed home in Stoke-on-Trent. You’ll help young people aged 8–18 with daily routines, plan activities and provide a warm, safe environment. Experience in residential childcare and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare and have two years of residential care experience.
• Driver with a full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Support young people with daily routines: school prep, meals, activities.
• Create a warm, homely environment with light housekeeping.
• Lead shift and deputise the home manager.
• Build relationships and provide emotional support.
• Plan and join activities like parks trips, movie nights, creative projects.
• Keep essential records to ensure high-quality care.
