Job summary

Cambian Group in the United Kingdom is seeking compassionate Residential Support Workers to join our children's services. You will provide high-quality care, support, and guidance to children and young people, helping them lead safe, fulfilling lives within a nurturing team.

You will collaborate to implement individualised care plans, monitor wellbeing, and support development, education goals, and life skills while safeguarding and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential care or similar setting is desirable.
• Ability to support children with emotional and behavioural needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with daily living activities, including personal care, education, and recreational activities.
• Encourage and promote positive behaviour, offering emotional and practical support to build self-esteem and confidence.
• Develop and maintain trusting, professional relationships with children and young people, providing consistency and stability.
• Implement care plans and ensure children's needs are met in line with individual requirements.
• Safeguard and protect children, reporting concerns promptly in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Support children in developing life skills, such as communication, socialisation, and independence.
• Provide a safe, welcoming, and structured environment that encourages growth and development.
• Assist with the preparation and participation in regular reviews, contributing to the child's progress and goals.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
