Job summary

Priory Tudor House is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team in a residential addictions service. This full-time role involves 3 long days (7am–7pm) with some nights on a rota, supporting clients through recovery and ensuring a welcoming environment.

You will supervise staff, manage daily living tasks, maintain records and contribute to care planning. A Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health & Social Care is encouraged, with development pathways into leadership and clinical roles.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care or supported living role, alongside experience as a Senior Support Worker or in a leadership role.
• Strong listening and observation skills, with an attentive approach to people’s emotional, mental and physical wellbeing.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills, including the ability to maintain accurate written records.
• The willingness to work towards a Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Health and Social Care if you don’t already hold it.
• A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships with clients, supporting their recovery and encouraging involvement in the Tudor House community.
• Supervising and supporting colleagues to deliver person-centred care, activities and support with daily living and personal care where needed.
• Coordinating shift handovers, allocating tasks and adapting priorities as clients’ needs change.
• Leading by example, coaching Support Workers and ensuring meaningful time engaging with clients.
