Job summary

Priory Tudor House - Residential Addictions Service is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team and deliver person-centred care in a demanding, rewarding setting. You will guide clients through daily sessions, coordinate shift handovers and model compassionate practice to the Support Worker team.

You will work full time, 3 long days 7am–7pm with some nights on a rota, providing support, safeguarding, and encouragement to help residents progress in their recovery, while maintaining high

Qualifications

• Experience in care or supported living with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong listening and observation skills.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy with ability to maintain records.
• Ability to organise daily tasks, guide colleagues and address concerns constructively.
• Patience, resilience and safeguarding commitment.
• Willingness to pursue Level 2 Diploma/NVQ if not held.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Support Worker team to deliver person-centred care.
• Guide clients through daily group sessions, activities and workshops.
• Coordinate shift handovers and adapt priorities as needs change.
• Model and coach staff to engage meaningfully with clients.
• Provide keyworking support and help clients set goals and track progress.
• Maintain high standards of record keeping and reporting.
• Recognise wellbeing changes and escalate risks to management.
• Collaborate with families and professionals to improve the service.
