Job summary

Priory Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker at our Cardiff residential service on Princes Street. The role supports five adults with varying needs, supervising care delivery and helping residents progress toward wellbeing and independence.

The post requires NVQ 3 or equivalent and strong communication to coordinate care. The successful candidate will work full time, 39 hours per week, with a 2 x 8-21 and 1 x 10-22:30 sleep-in shift pattern; access to training and development opportunities is

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care or related area or equivalent or higher recognised qualification.
• Experience in a care or supported living role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to support residents and work with the team.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and supports the delivery of person centred support and care, ensuring residents' personal needs are met.
• Supervises and coaches support workers to help residents achieve their outcomes.
• Maintain professional relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external professionals.
• Role model the Adult Care Positive Culture Pledge and embed it in practice.
• Provide supervision and guidance to staff contributing to performance and development.
