Job summary

Care & Support Services is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead shifts across multiple homes in the West Midlands. You will supervise staff, implement trauma-informed routines, and ensure each setting remains compliant and emotionally safe for future placements.

The role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, experience with EBD/ADHD/trauma behaviors, and a valid driver for multi-site travel. You will contribute to safeguarding, audits, and a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or higher).
• Experience supporting children with EBD, ADHD, or trauma-related behaviours.
• Confident leading shifts and mentoring junior staff.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Trauma-informed, emotionally resilient, and consistent.
• Driver essential due to multi-site travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts, supervise staff, and act as a senior point of contact in the absence of management.
• Support the implementation of trauma-informed routines, care plans, and behaviour support strategies.
• Work across various homes as needed, ensuring each is compliant and emotionally safe for future placements.
• Maintain strong safeguarding practice and contribute to audits and quality assurance.
• Offer coaching, feedback, and encouragement to support workers and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
