Job summary

Creative Support in Reading is seeking a Senior Support Worker to deliver person-centred care for individuals with learning disabilities. You will lead a team, promote activities, and ensure high-quality support within a busy local setting.

The role requires at least 2 years of prior experience, a positive approach, and willingness to work a rota including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins. Training and progression are offered within our values-led framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
• Full-time position with a rota that includes evenings, weekends and sleep-ins.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, manage and mentor a team of staff.
• Develop warm, trusting relationships with service users.
• Encourage engagement in social activities inside and outside the home.
• Provide personal care and administer medication.
• Oversee staff deployment and rotas, and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community agencies.
• Support service user engagement and peer support.
• Monitor quality using robust methods.
