Job summary

Life is a national pregnancy support charity that helps over 60,000 people a year. The role is for a Senior Support Worker in Haywards Heath, part-time 17 hours weekly, with duties in supported housing and community support.

You will manage referrals, complete risk assessments, and provide person-centred support to ensure stable tenancies and access to services. The position requires safeguarding knowledge, trauma-informed practice, and strong communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience in social care or community-based support.
  • Understanding of safeguarding for children and adults.
  • Knowledge of support planning and risk assessments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our Supported Housing team in Haywards Heath. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide high-quality emotional, practical and housing-related support to individuals living in supported accommodation.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will:

  • Manage referrals, assessments and admissions into the service

Salary: £12,040.08 per annum

Hours: 17 hours per week, to be worked over 3 days and to include a Thursday and Friday
