Job summary

Top Tier Talentees is seeking a Senior Support Worker for Complex Care (LD, MH & Behaviours that Challenge) across Midlands & North. You will lead shifts, model de-escalation and ensure person-centred plans are followed in every shift.

This permanent PAYE role offers £15.00 per hour, 36–48 hours per week, with paid annual leave, a workplace pension and ongoing DMI and mandatory training.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in complex care, learning disabilities, mental health and behaviours that challenge.
• Experience as a senior, shift leader or team leader in community or supported-living services.
• Trained and experienced in de-escalation and physical intervention.
• NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it) is desirable.
• The right to work in the UK. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
• A driving licence is desirable and essential for some locations

Responsibilities

• Leading shifts: allocating staff, handovers and making sure support plans and PBS plans are followed.
• Modelling de-escalation and safe physical intervention, and debriefing staff after incidents.
• Supporting new staff through induction and shadow shifts.
• Completing incident reports, risk assessments and care-plan updates, and escalating safeguarding concerns

Top Tier Talentees is recruiting on behalf of a specialist complex-care provider supporting teenagers and young adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and high levels of behaviour that challenges. Each person lives in their own home with 2:1 to 4:1 support.

As a Senior, you'll lead shifts and set the standard for the team around each person.

Locations and vacancies:

• Malvern, Worcestershire (WR13) – This is a rural service, so a driver is strongly preferred.
• Dudley, West Midlands (DY3) – Male applicants only
• Leicester (LE4)
• Derby / South Derbyshire (DE12)
• Nottingham (NG9)
• Hull, East Yorkshire (HU12)
• Greater Manchester – Altrincham (WA15) & Ashton-under-Lyne (OL7)
• Scunthorpe (DN15)
• Harrogate, North Yorkshire (HG3) – This is a rural service, so a driver is strongly preferred.
