Job summary

Top Tier Talentees is recruiting on behalf of a specialist complex-care provider supporting teenagers and young adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and high levels of behaviour that challenges. Each person lives in their own home with 2:1 to 4:1 support.

You'll work alongside the service manager to run a safe, stable, well-led service.

Qualifications

• Experience as Deputy Manager, Team Leader or Senior in complex-care, LD/MH or supported-living services.
• Strong practical background in behaviours that challenge, de-escalation and physical intervention.
• Working knowledge of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act and CQC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the staff team: rotas, supervision, competency checks and performance.
• Ensuring PBS plans, risk assessments and care plans are current and followed.
• Leading incident reviews, safeguarding referrals and learning from restrictive practice.
• Supporting audits and CQC compliance, liaising with families, commissioners and professionals.
• Leading from the floor when the service needs it.

Top Tier Talentees is recruiting on behalf of a specialist complex-care provider supporting teenagers and young adults with learning disabilities, mental health conditions and high levels of behaviour that challenges. Each person lives in their own home with 2:1 to 4:1 support. Many have experienced previous placement breakdowns.

You'll work alongside the service manager to run a safe, stable, well-led service.

Locations and vacancies:

• Malvern, Worcestershire (WR13) – This is a rural service, so a driver is strongly preferred.
• Dudley, West Midlands (DY3) – Male applicants only
• Leicester (LE4)
• Derby / South Derbyshire (DE12)
• Nottingham (NG9)
• Hull, East Yorkshire (HU12)
• Greater Manchester – Altrincham (WA15) & Ashton-under-Lyne (OL7)
• Scunthorpe (DN15)
• Harrogate, North Yorkshire (HG3) – This is a rural service, so a driver is strongly preferred.
• Doncaster (DN4)

Due to the nature of the personal care involved, the Dudley posts are open to male applicants only. This is an occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act and CQC requirements
• Level 3 in Health & Social Care as a minimum, with Level 5 in Leadership (or working towards it) desirable
• The right to work in the UK. This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
• A driving licence is desirable and essential for some locations
