We'd like you to join us as a Senior Support Worker at our service Bobbins Swindon.

At Bobbins, we provide residential supported living care to children with severe physical or learning disabilities, including autism. Supported by a highly trained staff team, the children are encouraged to strive for independence, however that looks for them as individuals.

What you'll be working:
  • Oncall
  • Full Time 42 hours per week
  • Working every other weekend
  • Sleep ins
What you'll be doing:
  • Supporting our clients with daily activities
  • Effectively lead the shift by ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times
  • Supporting their care plans to establish routines
  • Ensure that all service users have up-to-date risk assessments and person-centered plans in place, reviewing and updating as required with the service manager
  • Ensure the client feels safe and stable within their day-to-day care
  • Personal Care*
  • Cover all aspects of the support worker role as needed to meet the needs of the service
  • Be part of the on-call team
  • Attend and complete all mandatory training
  • Administer medication (if required)
  • Support service users with physical disabilities using trained techniques and aids such as hoists, wheelchairs, and modified bathing equipment
What you'll have:
  • Strong organizational, time management, planning, and communication skills
  • Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working
  • Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards
  • Sound knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Proven reliability in attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations
  • Driving license is preferred
  • Ability to respond to employee issues fairly and consistently
