Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our residential service in Swindon. You will help people gain independence and support the Manager with day-to-day supervision, including shift allocation, training, inducting new colleagues and ordering medication.

You'll work to ensure high quality care, manage finances with service users and provide compassionate, person-centred support. DBS checks and references are required, with opportunities for progression within a values-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must have previous Senior Support Worker experience in a residential setting.
• Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage shifts.
• Commitment to person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day supervision and manage service operations.
• Allocate shifts and book training for colleagues.
• Induct new staff and support supervision processes.
• Order medication and help people manage finances.

Pay Rate starts at: £13.84ph

Typical Shifts are:

• Early: 08:00 - 15:00
• Late: 15:00 - 22:00
• Long day: 08:00 - 22:00
• Night: 22:00 - 08:00

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision's, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We're interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
