Senior Residential Support Worker – Make a Difference Through Consistent, Child-Focused Care

Location: Oxfordshire, OX3, OX5 & OX12

Salary: £34,840 per annum, including sleep-in payments

Introduction

Are you an experienced Residential Childcare Worker looking for a senior role where you can make a meaningful difference to young people while continuing to develop your leadership skills?

We're recruiting Senior Residential Support Workers for children's residential homes across Oxfordshire, supporting young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

This opportunity would suit someone who understands the importance of consistency, positive relationships and calm leadership, and who enjoys supporting colleagues as much as the young people in their care.

About the Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the home, working alongside the wider team to create a safe, nurturing and structured environment.

• Supporting young people with complex needs through relationship-based, child-centred care
• Providing guidance and encouragement to Residential Support Workers
• Supporting the management team with daily routines, safeguarding and care planning
• Helping young people develop emotional regulation, independence and life skills
• Contributing to positive team communication, handovers and reflective practice
• Promoting consistency and stability within the home

About You

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Children's Residential Care, or equivalent
• Current or recent experience working within children's residential homes
• Experience supporting young people with complex or challenging needs
• Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Confidence supporting colleagues and contributing to daily team leadership

Desirable

• Full UK driving licence
