Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a committed Senior Support Worker for an exceptional nursing home in the Wroxham and Norwich area. You will deliver person-centred care within a warm, homely team environment and help lead a stable, professional staff.

This permanent, full-time role (36 hours/week, day shifts) pays £13.85 per hour (£25,927.20 per year) and includes a pension, induction and paid training, enhanced bank holiday rates, uniform, DBS costs covered and a rewards scheme.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Proven experience in care setting beneficial.
• Strong communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contribute to care planning and coaching support workers
• Promote services when dealing with relatives or enquiries
• Update and write care plans and resident documentation
• Make and report assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Administer medication to residents according to policies and procedures

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

As the Senior Support Worker your key duties include:

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• A good team player
• Have a genuine desire to care for others
• Good verbal and written communication skills

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £13.85 per hour and the annual salary is £25,927.20 per annum.
